If you don’t know already, Coachella is only a few days away! There are lots of great festivals and concerts to attend but this is by far the most documented on Instagram and the most popular. I personally won’t be going to Coachella this year but I am trying to make it to Lollapalooza! Here are the essentials to any spring/summer festival you might be attending!

GLITTER
First off, if you are going to any festival, glitter or highlighter is a necessity. I am ALL about glitter and would dunk my whole body in it if I could, but I will settle for incorporating glitter into my make up look. You can use any glitter that you like, but I LOVE the NYX glitter glue and have used it several times for concerts or Halloween. And I love BECCA highlighter in the shade champagne pop or moonstone, it’s a warm gold and makes the skin glow.
BALI BODY
I love every Bali Body product I have tried, I use their BB cream daily! It gives the skin a nice glow and it evens out skin tone without looking like you are wearing any makeup. Not to mention, you don’t want heavy makeup that will become a cakey mess when you are dancing around (and sweating). I don’t know about you, but I don’t want to spend my festival time worrying about my makeup. The shimmering body oil and the bronzing body lotion is ideal for an all over bronze glow perfect for any festival.
CHARGE IT UP!
A portable phone charger is necessary for obvious reasons. You will be taking so many photos and recording every minute, so make sure you have a portable battery charger when the inevitable 2% battery life rolls around.
BODY WIPES / SANITIZER
This might be TMI, but you will thank me later. Bring these two things along to freshen up throughout the day! No one wants to smell like BO, I would even bring a mini deodorant. If you aren’t as obsessive as me, I’m sure wipes will be just fine. Sanitizer will help when you want to eat or use the restroom, festivals aren’t the cleanest, it’s something that is most forgotten but most essential.
DRY SHAMPOO
This is also pretty obvious but necessary to feel fresh, especially if you are staying a few days. I am all about comfort and I can’t relax if my hair feels gross. I absolutely love Batiste dry shampoo because it comes in different colors, so that it matches your hair color.
SAND CLOUD “TOWEL”
This towel is big enough to fit all of your friends and is super light. I love the ones from Sand Cloud because they don’t collect dirt or sand, plus how cute is this pattern?!
ELECTROLYGHT TABLETS
Mix these tablets with your water to keep you dancing all day every day, these tablets disolve similar to an Alka-Seltzer and perfect for travel. I use these on camping trips and any time I need to stay hydrated.
SUN PROTECTION
SPF is a must, when you are outside all day it is necessary to protect your skin! I personally love this Mouse Facial Sunscreen by SUPERGOOP. It’s really light on the skin, doesn’t burn (I always feel like my skin is burning with most sunscreens), and doesn’t have the typical sunscreen smell. Another important reminder… Don’t forget your sunglasses! Not only are they stylish but they help protect your eyes which is equally important.
AFTER-SUN SKIN CARE
No matter the intention, it is easy to forget to reapply your sunscreen in between songs or (let’s be honest) naps so after-sun skin care is also a must! No one wants to feel an itchy burn all weekend.
