I became very interested in the idea of taking collagen after I had seen a few ads and seen some of my favorite influencers talking about it. I am not into taking supplements, other than my daily vitamins, mainly because I have never really noticed a difference or believed the marketing behind them. Now that I am approaching 25, I have started to notice some fine lines surfacing on my forehead and under my eyes. So when I heard about taking collagen, something that is essential to maintain youth, I was definitely curious. I wanted to learn more about it to see if it really works.Continue reading “WHY YOU NEED COLLAGEN”
Trying to find the perfect Valentine’s Day outfit can feel daunting. I created a few shoppable edits that will be perfect for any night that you may have planned. While I love going out and dressing up for date night I will be taking the relaxing night in approach this year. It has been so cold in Chicago and I really don’t want to go out and try to make reservations in a packed restaurant, when dining at home can be just as romantic. Making dinner together is one of my favorite things to do with my girl friends and my significant other. I think its so fun to cook and eat together. Who doesn’t love eating, right? Anyways, I hope you find the perfect out fit or inspo from this post. Happy Valentines Day!Continue reading “VALENTINES DAY EDIT”
I like having a physical planner, just like I like reading a physical book instead of an ebook. There is something about having a copy I can write on, add stickers to (yes I’m a child at heart), and physically have in front of me. Several people have asked why I don’t just use an app so that I wouldn’t have to carry a book around with me. I have used the excuse, “if I lose my phone then it’s gone”, but that’s not really true, the cloud backs up all of my data. I don’t have a great reason behind liking a physical copy of my schedule, maybe it has something to do with the escape of screens. All day, everyday, I am looking at a screen. At work, I have my phone and computer that I am constantly checking. Then at home, I am looking at my phone and at the TV.
I have always had a physical planner and don’t intend to switch to an app anytime soon. I like being able to use it as a daily planner, recipe collector, address book, budgeting tool, and so much more. I use a million sticky notes and gel pens to color coordinate and give myself reminders, and I LOVE it!Continue reading “PLANNING 2019 WITH GOLDEN COIL”
Now that the holiday season has come to an end, it’s time to settle in because the cold is here to stay for a few months. This recipe has the warm comfort food feeling with all of the flavor you are looking for in the winter. Pasta, especially homemade pasta, is my favorite comfort food. I made this recipe one night for dinner and absolutely loved it. I posted pictures on my Instagram story and got several requests for this recipe. Continue reading “GARLIC & HERB-ROASTED CARBONARA”
Since I live in Chicago, I feel like I have been wearing heavy sweaters and coats for MONTHS. I can’t get enough of the cute coat trends that are in this season. Leopard has been so popular since this last summer and I’m thrilled that it has continued into winter. Neutrals, textures, and plaid are all in, and yes, I am counting leopard as a neutral. Even though I know I can only wear one at a time, I can’t help but love all of these coats.

It is 2019! Most are celebrating a new start and getting excited for the things to come. I am excited for all of these things, but some really amazing things happened in this last year…
