SPRITZ COCKTAIL

I am hoping that if I keep making Spring and Summer recipes that it will encourage the weather to warm up! I have been interested in making a spritz cocktail ever since it hit Instagram like crazy last year. Unfortunately, I was in the process of moving and adjusting to life in Chicago, so I didn’t get the chance to try it out. I posted a Spritz photo to my Instagram and got several questions about how to make it or what recipe I used. As requested, here is the Aperol Spritz recipe I use.

I love fun summer drinks but I really only get the chance to make something creative or different when I have friends over. In that same token, I love cooking for friends but I also don’t want to spend the whole time in the kitchen; I want to be able relax and hangout with everyone. This spritz recipe is easy to make in a pitcher to serve and when anyone needs a refill, it only takes 30 seconds to recreate. You really only need 4-5 ingredients to make this drink, depending on how you’d like to make it. Get ready for the easiest recipe you will ever make.

SPRITZ COCKTAIL

WHAT YOU NEED

  • 4 oz. Prosecco or Champagne
  • 4 oz. Aperol Spritz
  • Ice
  • Garnishes: Orange Slices & Rosemary Sprigs

WHAT TO DO

  1. Fill wine glass with ice, add equal parts champagne and spritz. I used about 4 oz of each.
  2. Add your garnishes, a slice of orange and rosemary, if you want to make it extra fancy.

*If the spritz is a little too strong, you can add a splash of Sprite or sparkling water to tone it down.

If you want to serve this in a pitcher just multiply the recipe by the amount of people that you will be hosting.
