Jewelry is one of my favorite things to add to an outfit, over shoes and bags. The jewelry you pair with an outfit makes all the difference. Even though I love different kinds of jewelry, I always seem to come back to my favorite pieces. I love simple gold jewelry, there is something about subtle dainty pieces that I can’t get enough of. However, since I am 25, still paying off college debt, and I live in a very expensive city… I don’t have the bank roll to be making high end jewelry purchases. That being the said, I have found pieces that fit my budget and my lifestyle.
Even though I don’t buy high end jewelry, I still expect quality. I want to be able to wear pieces that won’t tarnish. Nothing is more infuriating then spending money on things that don’t last!

Beauty products are EXPENSIVE! Thankfully, Sephora gives us a semi-annual sale so that we can ball on a budget, can I get an Amen?! That’s right, it’s time again to restock on all of those things that are usually a little (a lot) too pricey. I always struggle with making a game plan and end up over spending. I am hoping that if I keep making Spring and Summer recipes that it will encourage the weather to warm up! I have been interested in making a spritz cocktail ever since it hit Instagram like crazy last year. Unfortunately, I was in the process of moving and adjusting to life in Chicago, so I didn’t get the chance to try it out. I posted a Spritz photo to my Instagram and got several questions about how to make it or what recipe I used. As requested, here is the Aperol Spritz recipe I use.

I started seeing barrettes about a month or so ago, never did I think this trend would make a comeback. I had a million of these growing up, all different shapes and shades of pink. Even though this trend came out of no where, I am all of the sudden obsessed. Instead of shades of pink I am looking for a stylish gold or, as always, leopard print. Shockingly, when I looked up barrettes there weren’t many options on my favorite boutique websites. None the less, I went on a hunt for the perfect barrettes for you. Below are the categories of barrettes that you are sure to find at least one hair piece you will love.

Polaroid pictures have been back in style for a while now, getting your hands on a truly vintage Polaroid camera can be expensive, and buying a new one isn’t exactly cheap either. I love the instant photos that Polaroids provide. It’s so fun to take these cameras out on the town or vacation, but I never seem to get a great photo. It usually takes me more than one shot to get a decent picture. I’m still learning how to not have dark or washed out photos using a Polaroid camera, lighting is definitely a struggle for me. The film for the actual camera can range from $1-3+ per photo. That’s insane when you think about how many shots you take on an iPhone to get only one good photo. On my phone, I have 100 photos of the same thing, there’s no way I could afford to take that many photos using a Polaroid camera. If I figure out the secret to taking the perfect photo on a Polaroid camera, I will be sure to let you all know. In the mean time, I found a life hack that will make getting the perfect polaroid so much easier.
