As summer is approaching, I look in the mirror every morning and I swear I am getting paler as the days go on. I rarely get sun in the winter, for obvious reasons…. It’s cold AF outside and I am wearing 100 layers. I refuse to use a tanning bed because I don’t feel the need to assist my skin in getting freckles or wrinkles or cancer. I have used tanning beds in the past in high school but have since sworn off visits to the tanning salon. Since I found self-tanners that actually work, I end up saving money in the long run and my skin is damage free! Continue reading “HOW TO GET A SUNLESS SUMMER GLOW”
Dry brushing is a type of skin brushing that has many benefits (according to everyone on the topic). I hadn’t heard about dry brushing until recently, I felt like it would be a hoax and this would be a fad that would come and go. After giving it a bit of research, I had to try it out. I felt kind of ridiculous when I was brushing my skin for the first time, but after I completed the first few days I noticed a difference in my skin. I honestly was hoping it didn’t work so that I wouldn’t have to add another step to my already time consuming morning ritual.
I have been seeing lip masks on social media and some of my friends have even sent me snaps using them. I do use lip scrubs (my favorite is the lip scrub by Lush Cosmetics, click here), it really helps keep my lips exfoliated, especially if I am planning on using a matte lipstick. I decided to do some research and try them out for you!
In honor of National Bubble Bath Day on Jan 8th I wanted to compile the necessities for the perfect bath, I’m pretty excited there is a day to celebrate one of my favorite hobbies. (not sure if bathing is a hobby but it has its own holiday so we are going to count it!) I have compiled my must have bath products. I made sure to get this list done a few days early so you have time to purchase all of the necessary items for the perfect bath… don’t worry, I’m looking out for you)
My schedule varies, but I usually wash my hair on Monday, for a fresh start to the week, and again on Friday or Saturday. Some people are shocked when I tell them I only wash my hair about twice a week, but its not good to wash your hair everyday, especially if you have thin and fine hair like me. If you didn’t already know this, listen up! If you could careless about your hair, you might be reading the wrong blog post.
