Never did I think that Tie Dye would come back into style. When I was a kid, no matter the vacation I would always get a souvenir Tie Dye shirt. Since my teen years, I thought tie dye was too juvenile and never wore it again. Fast forward to today, I am seeing it everywhere and it’s growing on me. I have seen a couple of cute long sleeve shirts and crops that I really like, when I went to buy what I had my eye on, I saw the price…. it was $55 for a pink tie dye shirt and $60 for a teal long sleeve… No thanks. As always my thought process is, “I can do this myself and make it look the same for half the cost”. I feel like I can’t be the only one who doesn’t want to spend $100 on a tie dye shirt, so I decided to make a “how to” blog post!Continue reading “TIE DYE DIY”
Jewelry is one of my favorite things to add to an outfit, over shoes and bags. The jewelry you pair with an outfit makes all the difference. Even though I love different kinds of jewelry, I always seem to come back to my favorite pieces. I love simple gold jewelry, there is something about subtle dainty pieces that I can’t get enough of. However, since I am 25, still paying off college debt, and I live in a very expensive city… I don’t have the bank roll to be making high end jewelry purchases. That being the said, I have found pieces that fit my budget and my lifestyle.
Even though I don’t buy high end jewelry, I still expect quality. I want to be able to wear pieces that won’t tarnish. Nothing is more infuriating then spending money on things that don’t last!Continue reading “MY FAVORITE JEWELRY BRANDS”
Let’s talk about Black Friday, every year I reminisce about a time, before smart phones (I know shocking), where I would make a list of the things I was looking for. I’d set my alarm for 4 or 5AM and then head to the mall. Every year I would get a Cinnabon for breakfast and stand in line for hours, waiting to get into Forever 21 and GAP to buy a sweater that was less than $20. My preteen self lived for this day, I have changed a lot since then, and thank goodness! I would rather sleep in on my day off, after eating all of the delicious food the day before. I would also rather do all of my shopping online and have them sent straight to me. Gone are the days of waiting in line and fighting over sweaters out of bins!
I have created a guide of some of the retailers, what their sales will be, and the codes/dates you need to save money! I’m calling it the lazy girl’s guide to Black Friday, or maybe it’s just for people who want to get their full night’s sleep and not be trampled by a crowd of sleep deprived strangers. Call it what you like, but it will help you navigate the craziness that is Black Friday/Cyber Monday!
