Just a little reminder I have to tell my self, and I am now sharing with you… in the craziness of the shopping, the decorating, and the gift giving make sure you take the time to slow down and relax! I feel like everyone, including myself, gets caught up in the gifts and the decorations (which is a great part of the holidays, don’t get me wrong). Don’t let the most important part of the holidays pass you by, look around at your loved ones and value each person sitting around you. Perfect Christmas’ aren’t always possible, you might burn the food or get stuck traveling to your family Christmas and arrive late, and that’s okay! All of the Instagram photos and the staged Christmas photos aren’t always the reality behind the camera. Don’t get too bogged down with trying to have the perfect Christmas or comparing your Christmas to what you see on social media, because the perfect Christmas is what you make it. However, you choose to celebrate the holiday this year, it’s perfect! To wrap this up, I wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

I love baking in the kitchen, put some Christmas music on, fill a glass of wine, and make cookies with some of my favorite people… I don’t know what could be better. Read more: CREATING HOLIDAY CARDSThis is my first time creating a Christmas card for my own personal use. Sure, I have created them for business’ and other events but never just for. Believe me, it was a journey, I thought this process would be very simple, so many people put together Christmas cards every year. My creative side got the best of me. I seriously considered scrap booking each and every card to ensure it was perfect, it can’t be that hard right?! Wrong! No one has time or patience for that, if you do… please share your wisdom.
Then I thought about doing my own graphic design, I got so excited about so many different concepts and ideas that it became over whelming. Finally, I decided that I should probably use a template to save my time and my sanity. I researched a couple of sites looking at pricing, shipping, designs… everything you can think of. I loved the designs of Minted.com but their pricing wasn’t ideal. I didn’t want to spend $150+ creating 50 Christmas cards. I landed on Vistaprint.com. I am so indecisive, not to mention a perfectionist, when it comes to fonts, colors, and design. (Bless the souls that will have to guide me through wedding invites one day.) Everything had to be perfect, I spent about an hour editing the photo, then nudging all of the pieces, changing different fonts, adding lines, etc.

Read more: HOLIDAY GIFT GUIDE 2018It’s that time of year again! I am usually ahead on the shopping but this year I found myself waiting, as if the perfect gifts would suddenly hit me. Bottom line… I love giving others gifts, I know that is clique, but it’s true. There is so much time and thought put into each item, then finally, I get so excited to see them open it up and they (hopefully) love the gift! Each year it isn’t always easy, especially when you are shopping for someone who doesn’t really need anything. This is the perfect opportunity to give something that they would love, but wouldn’t always think to get themselves. (more…)
